Sixteen 'whitefellas' explore their relationship with Aboriginal Australia, looking at events in their own lives which shaped their understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture and history. Each contributor has shown a strong interest in the concerns of Aboriginal Australians over many years. In their lively, highly readable, and personal stories these writers share experiences and wrestle with the issues of today, from dispossession and disadvantage, through struggle, to achievement and celebration.
