The bestselling author of Nowhere Else, Wattle Creek and Paycheque brings us the much anticipated sequel to Saving Grace.

Emily Oliphant has made some drastic changes in her life. She's ditched her abusive husband and embarked on her own adventure, renovating a dilapidated property and starting up her own business. Against all odds, she's found a sense of place and purpose, but is still too scarred by her past to form any romantic attachments, regardless of who's vying for her attention.

Now she's received an offer from the elderly owners of her beloved rented home to buy the property, land and all. Hopeful and tentative, Emily feels she is taking a step in the right direction, although is unsure how she will raise the money. Except Emily holds a button jar - a gift from her recently deceased Granny Mayfair - which, unbeknownst to her, could contain the solution to all her problems...

But just when Emily thought things were beginning to go her way, everything takes a turn. Soon, she's involved in a romance she thought she had no time for and dealing with the shock of two unexpected deaths, forcing her to make some difficult decisions. With her finances, her property, her friendships and her budding relationship now hanging in limbo, Emily is once again drawing on her inner strength to overcome a new set of challenges.

What I’m reading right now…
The new Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling), The Silkworm. I wasn’t a fan of the Harry Potter series or The Casual Vacancy, but I really enjoyed The Cuckoo’s Calling. I eagerly awaited the release of this one.

My favourite book growing up (why?)…
I can’t name one favourite book – I read a lot growing up. But my absolute favourite author was Enid Blyton, so I devoured anything by her. I remember especially loving her Faraway Tree, Wishing Chair, Naughtiest Girl, Famous Five, and Secret Seven series.

My all time favourite book is (why?)…
Just one?! Joan Lindsay’s Picnic at Hanging Rock. It’s a cleverly written, intriguing story set in the gorgeous Australian bush.

The book I would recommend everyone to read (why?)…
Any one of mine, of course!

The book I wish I wrote…
The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. I dream of having a title in print for over forty years that practically everyone has heard of. And the royalties from selling around 38 million copies wouldn’t be too bad either…

My guilty reading pleasure is…
Nothing. I never feel guilty about anything I read and neither should anyone else. Being able to read is a gift to be enjoyed.

The book on my bookshelf that I have never read… I tried reading The Shipping News by E. Annie Proulx several times and never got past the fourth page - it’s no longer taking up valuable shelf space.

The book that never should have been turned into a film… I don’t tend to watch many film adaptations and as screen and print are very different mediums for telling a story I don’t think they should be compared. Having said that, I did find the film of Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code a little disappointing after reading the book.
My book is… a heart-warming journey of self-discovery set in rural South Australia.

I’ll never forget…
being told a few years before signing my first contract that my writing and aim of becoming a successful novelist was ‘a pipe dream’. It’s enormously satisfying to prove someone wrong...

My favourite place is… home.

The most dangerous thing I have ever done is… whitewater rafting in Bali. Absolutely brilliant fun!

The first time I… was offered a publishing contract I cried.

I regret… nothing. Everything good and bad that has happened in my life has made me who I am and got me to where I am. After many struggles, heartbreaks, and setbacks, I’m now very content.

I remember… declaring at the age of nine that I wanted to be the next Enid Blyton.

The one piece of advice I should have listened to but didn’t… "You’re too young to get married."

I love… my life.

I hate… injustice and animal cruelty.

I wish… people weren’t so cruel.

I can’t say no to… cheese.

Yesterday, I… should have cleaned the house, but read instead.
