Synopsis

Ambrose Millwood is found dead in his hotel bed. At first glance it appears that he has died of natural causes. Detective Inspector George Washington starts to investigate the death and becomes convinced that he's been murdered. As he tries to piece together some of the relevant life history of Ambrose Millwood, he finds a number of people who believe that Ambrose has a hidden stash of embezzled money. George meets Ambrose's former wife who has been left a cryptic message by Ambrose, his girlfriend who was travelling with him when he died, his former business partner who wants to recover the embezzled money for his clients and a lawyer who is particularly difficult to deal with. Apart from the former wife, they all seem convinced that the embezzled money is hidden somewhere and the race is on to get to it first.
