This book is simultaneously incredible and complex and basically out of my league. I drowned. I'm not good with hardcore sci-fi (this is purely just me) and this is way tougher than Red Rising.

I didn't adore it but I still think it's genius.

Absolute genius! It's so rich and complex! (I bow to Pierce Brown for sure.) Golden Son was stuffed with war, and betrayal, and political catastrophes. Everyone was an enemy (unless maybe they're not?!) and no one could be trusted (unless maybe you can?!) Basically it had EVERYTHING WORRYING YOU CAN THINK OF.
