Synopsis
KT Tunstall is a Scottish songwriter and singer, who rose to fame following a performance on Later with Jools Holland, performing 'Black Horse and the Cherry Tree'. She played with a number of independent bands throughout her twenties, but her debut solo album, Eye To The Telescope; a mixture of folk, rock and pop music, was released in 2004.
After two more well-received albums; Acoustic Extravangza & Drastic Fantastic, Tiger Suit is her fourth solo album. It was recorded in Berlin’s legendary Hansa studios, treading in the hallowed footprints of David Bowie, U2 and Iggy Pop. The new album represents a shift in direction towards a more electronic sound, KT calls it “nature techno”.
The voice and style is still undeniably KT but the music has a more produced feel with lots of layers and texture.
