Synopsis

The GTX285 heatsink is designed to cool surface mount components (memory, voltage mosfets, I/O chip) on nVidia's reference design GTX285 graphics cards (Reference Board # P891) . It is designed to be installed in conjunction with the MCW60 VGA water-block and allows the highest possible stable overclocks of these high-end graphic cards while keeping them cool and silent. The performance advantage of the MCW60 GPU cooler over full-coverage water-block solutions is well known among enthusiast users - improved thermal conductivity thanks to Swiftech's Diamond Pin Matrix and less heat dumped into the liquid cooling loop coming from memory, I/O and power mosfets since they remain air cooled. So when coupled with the GTX285 heatsink, the pair provides a complete solution that is more economical than the average full-coverage water-block while offering superior performance where it really counts: at the GPU level! Material - black anodized aluminum extrusion. Dimensions - 210mm (L) x 92mm (W) x 18mm (H). Weight: 248g. Installation - High thermal conductivity pad. How to check for compatibility? The GTX285 heatsink is compatible with nVidia reference board number P891. The nVidia reference board number is usually printed on the back of the circuit board, in a code located below the nVidia logo. Note: Swiftech part-code - GTX285-HS-P891.
