Refunds and Exchanges Policy
At Bookworld we understand booklovers and know that, sometimes, you might need to return your purchase. We offer a 30-day return option on all physical product purchases. Your 30-day window opens from the day you receive your order*. All the information you need to return your product is below. Simply follow the instructions and we’ll do the rest.
* We will estimate the receipt time based upon shipping date + shipping time + 2 days grace.
CHANGE OF MIND
Returns for refund or change of mind can be requested via our ‘Contact Us’ page. Our conditions of return are listed below. DVDs and other items shipped sealed or shrink-wrapped must be returned in original sealed / shrink-wrapped condition if you are returning for change of mind.
DAMAGED OR FAULTY ITEMS
Where an item has arrived damaged, mis-bound, or faulty, please let our customer service team know by visiting our Contact Us page.
EXCHANGE ITEMS
We are unable to facilitate the exchange of an item. If you wish to return one product for another, please order the new item separately and follow the standard returns process for a refund or your original purchase.
eREADERS/ TABLETS
eReader and Tablets purchased from Bookworld are covered by the manufacturer warranty. Within 30 days of purchase, you can return any faulty item to Bookworld for exchange or refund. From 31 days to 365 days from purchase, your device warranty is covered by the relevant manufacturer as listed below:
- Kobo eReaders - your warranty between 1 month and 1 year is supported by Kobo, who can be contacted via their 24 /7 freecall number: 1800-357-270 or their support site website help portal.
- Sony eReaders - your warranty between 1 month and 1 year is supported by Sony, who can be contacted on 1300-137-669 or by visiting their support site.
- Samsung Tablet Devices - your warranty between 1 month and 1 year is supported by Samsung who can be contacted their website help portal.
eBOOKS
eBooks from Bookworld cannot be returned. Where difficulties are encountered our customer service team will work with you to resolve the matter however we cannot return digital items. Where there is a fault with an eBook we will replace the item with another version where available. To report problems with an eBook please Contact Us.
GIFT CARDS
Please note that we do not accept returns of Bookworld Gift Cards. Bookworld Gift Cards can only be redeemed via this website. If you have an issue with a gift card please Contact Us.
ITEM NOT AS DESCRIBED
Please also note that publishers can occasionally alter a product slightly, such as changing the front cover or altering the product description. If you are unhappy with the product supplied please return by completing the process outlined here.
HOW LONG WILL MY REFUND TAKE?
We will make every effort to process refunds for returned items within 3 business days of receipt at our online office. Please note any credit to your card account may not appear on your credit card statement until a future billing cycle, depending upon your card issuer's procedures.
