    as bad as the book

    29/08/2012

Eat Pray Love is the movie based on the book of the same title by Liz Gilbert. Julia Roberts is very good at playing the fragile, tearful female, but it is difficult to capture a work with such a lot of inner monologue on film. Still, Liz Gilbert comes across as self-indulgent and self-centred in the movie, just like she does in the book. Its a good screenplay and well-acted: just a pity to waste such a lot of effort on a mediocre book.
