This is what happens when a movie is written by committee. Dodgy plot, mostly dodgy script (with some classic lines), no budget, several different directors and midgets on a plane.

Many unanswered questions. How does Rick know exactly how far the Germans are from Paris and what guns they are using? Who told him to go to Casablanca for the waters? What errand did Ilsa have to do in the city that was so important that even invading Nazis couldn't delay it? Will Rick and Louie's beautiful friendship last? Despite all that, still a classic. Just love it!
